Soft Tissue Therapy,
Remedial & Sports Massage in East Ballina

Helping you move beyond pain - not just manage it.

Pain and tension rarely happen in isolation.

A sore neck may begin with the way you breathe. Recurrent back pain may be driven by how your hips, feet or rib cage move. Tight muscles are often working hard to compensate for a body that has lost its natural coordination and support.

My approach is to look beyond the painful area and understand why your body is working harder than it needs to.

Using over 20 years of experience in soft tissue therapy, movement rehabilitation and Pilates, I combine hands-on treatment with movement assessment, breathing education and practical strategies that help you move more freely, both during your session and long afterwards.

What can Soft Tissue Therapy help with?

Treatment may be appropriate for:

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Low back and pelvic pain

  • Hip pain

  • Headaches and jaw tension

  • Sports injuries

  • Running-related injuries

  • Muscle tightness and persistent stiffness

  • Postural strain

  • Hypermobility

  • General movement restrictions affecting work, sport or everyday life

Every treatment is tailored to your individual presentation and goals.

More than massage.

Hands-on therapy can reduce pain and restore movement remarkably quickly.

But lasting change usually requires understanding why the problem developed in the first place.

Alongside soft tissue treatment, your session may include:

  • Whole-body movement assessment

  • Breathing assessment and retraining

  • Simple movement retraining

  • Education about posture and movement habits

  • Practical exercises you can confidently continue at home

My goal is not simply to help you feel better today, but to help your body become more adaptable, efficient and resilient over time.

A whole-body approach

I am a JEMS® Rehabilitation Practitioner, and this philosophy influences everything I do.

Rather than fighting tension with more effort, JEMS emphasises ease, efficiency and whole-body connection. By improving the way different regions of the body work together, movement becomes lighter, stronger and more enjoyable.

Often, when the body finds a more efficient strategy, pain begins to resolve as a natural consequence.

Working together

Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing persistent pain, or simply wanting to move with greater freedom, treatment is designed to help you better understand your own body.

The aim isn't to make you dependent on regular treatment. It's to help you develop the awareness, confidence and movement skills to care for your body long after you've left the clinic.
